Northern Wild Sheep and Goat Council Symposium, March 2012
The Northern Wild Sheep and Goat Council (http://www.nwsgc.org/) is a non-profit, international scientific and educational organization dedicated to the management and conservationof northern wild sheep and mountain goat populations and their habitats in North America.
Our purpose is achieved by:
- Providing for timely exchange of research and management information.
- Promoting high standards in research and management.
- Providing professional advice on issues involving wild sheep and mountain goat conservation and management.
The biennial meeting of the Council includes a symposium and a business meeting. The location of the biennial meeting rotates among the members' states, provinces and territories. The symposium includes technical presentations, panel discussions, poster sessions, and field trips related to the research and management of wild sheep, mountain goats, and related species.
Membership in the NWSGC includes professional research and management biologists and others active in the conservation of wild sheep and mountain goats. Membership in the Council is achieved either by registering at, or purchasing proceedings of, the biennial symposium. Only members may vote at the biennial business meeting.
This site contains the information you should need in order to attend and present at the 18th Northern Wild Sheep and Goat Council Symposium March 12 - 15, 2012 in Kamloops, BC, Canada. The first call for papers will occur in September 2011. Poster displays will also be encouraged.
